About Pettit

Pettit was founded in 2009, when I was 20, in the vibrant heart of Pernambuco, Brazil. What began as a handmade outfit for Ju, my tiny pinscher who captured our hearts, quickly grew into the dream of a brand.

From sewing at home with fabric remnants to selling in small shops and on early social media, every piece reflected passion, creativity, and care. In 2012, Pettit was officially born, originally under the name Petit Moda Pet® , growing alongside my journey in Fashion Design and a deep love for blending aesthetics, comfort, and purpose. Driven by my desire to study, the brand gave me the freedom and flexibility to pursue my Fashion Design degree and later a master’s in Design, focused on ergonomics and technology.

 

Today, Ju is 18 years old. Over the years, she has faced challenges with remarkable resilience — including the loss of her right hind leg due to a tumor and part of her vision. Yet, she continues to live comfortably in Brazil under the loving care of my mother. Watching her strength, vulnerability, and enduring spirit became deeply transformative for me. It was through this moment of love and resilience that I decided to bring Pettit back to life — this time in the United States, where I am now based.

 

Today, Pettit brings its Brazilian roots — joy, color, and creativity — to the United States, offering sophisticated designs that merge fashion and comfort. Each creation tells a story and celebrates the bond between humans and their animals.
